Slime Care
When your slime arrives, it may feel a bit stiff or melted – This is heavily dependent on the weather and the conditions it was in during transit.
Check out some of the fixes below.
How to make your slime less sticky
If your slime is sticky/melted
Making your activator
- Your slime should have come with a bag that contains 1 tsp of borax.
- Mix all the powder in to 1 cup of warm water and stir until fully dissolved
- Add the solution to your slime in small drops.
- Knead your slime until it’s smooth and you don’t feel any tough knots.
Keep in mind
- Adding too much activator to your slime will make it rubbery and will cause it to rip easily, losing any stretchiness.
- If after adding activator your slime is still sticky, keep adding more until it’s no longer sticky.
If your slime is stiff/tough
- Warm up your slime with your hands, if it’s cold it can go really stiff.
- Still too stiff? You can try adding some clear/white glue to your slime and knead it in!
- Running your slime under warm water and rubbing it in may help ‘deactivate’ some of the borax if you have accidentally over-activated your slime.
General Slime Care
- Wash your hands before and after playing with your slime, this will ensure that minimal dirt/oils get into your slime and will make your clear slimes stay clearer for longer!
- Play with slime on clean surfaces – if you get small debris in your slime it’s hard to remove it so be careful.
- Always put your slime back in its container after use to prevent it from drying out.
- Store your slime in a cool place and out of the sun to prevent melting.
- Slime melts over time, so reactivate frequently!
As nice as our slimes smell, they’re not edible!
Keep away from children under 3 and any pets/animals.
